Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
- Michael Martin Johnson, a 28-year-old unemployed Carson City man, was arrested at 8:01 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of David Street on suspicion of felony forgery and using a forged instrument. Bail was set at $7,500.
- Kenneth Henry Barksdale, a 45-year-old Carson City maintenance worker, was arrested at 10:27 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of felony attempted burglary, obtaining money under false pretenses and using a forged instrument. Bail was set at $25,000.
- Corey Allen Sommers, a 35-year-old Carson City sign maker, was arrested at 10:02 a.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of a felony probation violation, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $51,764.
- A 49-year-old Carson City professional gambler was arrested at 11:20 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor violation of conditions. Bail was set at $1,000.
- A 19-year-old Gardnerville airport employee was arrested at 9:13 p.m. Thursday at the corner of Highway 50 East and Lompa Lane on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence of a drug and disobeying a traffic sign. Bail was set at $1,226.
- A 30-year-old unemployed Carson City woman was arrested at 11:20 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor criminal contempt. Bail was set at $1,000.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:
- Report of gas siphoned out of a vehicle at 11:25 a.m. Thursday on Granite Way.
- Report of shots fired at 11:19 p.m. Thursday in the 4600 block of Highway 50 East.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:
- Report of 10 shots heard at 6:29 p.m. on Grassland Road in Mark Twain.
- A man was arrested for drunken driving at 10:47 p.m. near Graham Avenue in Silver Springs.
