The Carson area's first Women's Fair in conjunction with the Taste of Home Cooking School will be Friday and Saturday. The Women's Fair will include more than 40 local vendors, a fashion show, live demonstrations by make-up artists, massage therapists, health and wellness experts, wine tasting and drawings for prizes.
The Taste of Home Cooking School will be led by Kristi Larson, who will present live cooking demonstrations each day, along with ideas on fall dining and entertaining.
The schedule will be:
Friday " Women's Fair, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Carson City Community Center; Taste of Home Cooking School show, 6 to 8 p.m. (doors open at 4 p.m.)
Saturday " Women's Fair, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Carson City Community Center; Taste of Home Cooking School show, 3 to 5 p.m. (doors open at 1 p.m.)
The $10 tickets for the Taste of Home Cooking School are available at Save Mart stores in Carson City, the Nevada Appeal and The Record-Courier offices. The $5 tickets for the Women's Fair are available at the door. Tate of Home Winning Recipes cookbooks will be available for purchase at the event.
Every attendee will receive a gift bag. The event is sponsored by the Nevada Appeal, The Record-Courier and Glow magazine.
