Carson City Health and Human Services is hosting Homeless Connect to help residents who are poverty-striken or homeless.
The event takes place on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 900 E. Long St.
This is an opportunity for those in need to come to one location and learn about the resources available and how to access those resources to cross the bridge out of poverty, according to organizers.
In conjunction with the Homeless Connect, Friends in Service Helping (FISH), Carson City Rotary and Carson City Health and Human Services is sponsoring a Homeless Health Day at the Ross clinic at FISH. Transportation will be provided between the Carson City Health and Human Services and the FISH clinic to access health services.
