The Carson Tiny Mite Silver Senators youth football team came up just short against a hard hitting Sparks Wolf Pack.
Offensively, Dillon Skaggs ran more more than 85 yards and caught an 11-yard touchdown passs from Blake Menzel. Jake Nichols als had a huge 15-yard run on third down for a first down, but the Wolf Pack virtually shut down the Senators' outside running game. Carson was forced to go up the middle behind the offensive line of Devin Presley, Dylan Taylor, Justin Kattenhorn, Kristian Jachimiak, Jonathan Bates, Christopher Jones and Thomas Kreider.
For the second week in a row Jachimiak had numerious key tackles in the Wolf Pack backfield. Camdyn Meikrantz, Dylan Taylor, A.C. Garcia, Kreider, Skaggs, Blake Ewing, Kattenhorn, Bates, Nichols and Menzel all also played well defensively.
The Tiny Mite Silver has a bye this week and will return to the field on Friday, Oct. 10 when it will travel to South Tahoe to play the Vikings.

Virginia City fell to NIAA 1A state power Indian Springs 56-6 on Saturday. David Grey scored the Muckers' touchdown on a 34-yard run.
