Man allegedly fondled self in truck cab

A Carson City man was arrested early Thursday morning after a resident nearby allegedly witnessed him masturbating in his vehicle on Airport Road.

Ricky Scheffelman, 48, was booked at 1:50 a.m. into the Carson City Jail on suspicion of felony open and gross lewdness and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the arrest report, police were called to the area of Menlo Drive and Airport Road at 1:20 a.m.

There they allegedly found Scheffelman sitting in his pickup truck, with a methamphetamine pipe nearby.

"I asked Ricky what he was doing in the truck, and he told me he was waiting for a friend to pick him up," Deputy Morgan Tucker wrote in the report.

Bail was set at $8,232.
