St. Paul's Lutheran Family Church will hold communion services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. Palm Sunday, April 5, at 1201 N. Saliman Road.

Services will include special music.

A communion service will be held at 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday, April 9; and at 7 p.m. on Good Friday.

On Easter Sunday a pancake breakfast will be held from 8:30-10 a.m.; an Easter Egg Hunt for ages 1-10 from 9-10:20 a.m., and Communion services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. with special music. For information, call 882-3020.

First United Methodist Church will hold Palm Sunday services at all three morning services, 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m., on Sunday, April 5. The Chancel Choir will present their Easter Cantata, "Come, Touch the Robe."

A Taize service will be at 6 p.m. Maundy Thursday service with communion at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 9.

A Good Friday Ecumenical service will be held at noon Friday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community, 3000 N. Lompa Lane. The Revs. Rob and Dixie Jennings-Teats will participate.

On Easter Sunday a Sunrise service will be held at 6:45 a.m. on the lawn, weather permitting. Services celebrating the resurrection of Christ with music, word and prayer will be held at the 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. services.

An Easter Egg hunt will be held after the 9:30 a.m. service. For information, call 882-1436.

The public is welcome to join The Connection Church at 9:30 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 12, for an Easter Service.

They are offering breakfast, special music and an Easter Egg Hunt for all children after the service.

On Sunday, April 5 after the 10:30 a.m. service at Fountainhead Foursquare Church, 3690 Highway 395 South, Carson City, the church will be honoring and praying for our local troops from the Army National Guard who are being deployed to Afghanistan.

There will be a reception after with homemade chili and nachos being served. For information, call 267-4488.

St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 305 N. Minnesota St., will hold a Maundy Thursday service with Seder, foot washing and communion at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 9.

The church will also celebrate Good Friday with a joint, public service at noon at St. Teresa's Church, 3000 N. Lompa Lane with Ecumenical Stations of the Cross. A 7 p.m. service will be held at St. Peter's, with Mel Kennedy, a Journey to the Cross with communion.

A Holy Saturday service will be at 5:30 p.m. April 11; and Great Vigil of Easter at 7 p.m. at St. Peter's.
