Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

- Christopher Yocum, 26, of Carson City, was taken into custody Friday afternoon on charges of gross misdemeanor false imprisonment and misdemeanor domestic battery (second offense).

Yocum's former girlfriend, who is pregnant, reported that he barged into her apartment and kicked down the bathroom door, threw her on a bed and forced her to the ground. At that point, she alleges Yocum stepped on her stomach. Lyon County Sheriff deputies detained Yocum and transferred him to Carson City. Bail was set at $7,500.

- John Hansen, 54, of Foster City, California, was arrested Saturday morning in the 3800 block of South Carson Street on a gross misdemeanor charge of false imprisonment. An officer was dispatched to the location on a report of a dispute over money. Upon arriving, the officer could hear a man and a woman in a hotel room arguing, with the female asking to leave and the male refusing until she gave him his money.

When questioned by the officer, Hansen said he was missing $2,000 out of his briefcase, and suspected that the victim had stolen it. But a search of all possessions in the room did not turn up the missing money. Bail was set at $2,500.

- A 22-year-old distribution center employee from Carson City was arrested Saturday morning in the 100 block of Telegraph on a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant for traffic violations. An officer stopped two suspicious subjects walking down the street, and found one of them to have an outstanding warrant. Bail was set at $207.

- A 24-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday afternoon in the 200 block of Caroline Street for misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence. While talking with residents at a motel, an officer found the subject to have an outstanding warrant. Her bail was set at $3,000. A 22-year-old male subject in the same room was also arrested for misdemeanor failure to appear warrant for traffic violations. His bail was set at $235. Another resident of the motel, a 22-year-old Carson City woman, was also arrested for a misdemeanor failure to obey warrant. Her bail was set at $182.

- A 23-year-old painter from Minden was arrested Friday night on a misdemeanor warrant for violating alternative sentencing. The subject was detained by Douglas County Sheriff deputies and transferred to Carson City. Bail was set at $3,000.

- A 35-year-old food service worker from Carson City was arrested Friday afternoon in the 600 block of Hot Springs Road on a misdemeanor warrant for violation of suspended sentence. While doing traffic control in the area, an officer ran the plates of the subject's vehicle and found the driver had an outstanding warrant. His bail was set at $1,000.
