Western Nevada College has opened online registration this week for summer classes, and students have a wide range of options to choose from.

High school grads and returning students can get a jump on their general degree requirements by taking courses in English, geology, mathematics and philosophy. A number of career builder courses will help those seeking updated job skills.

Courses are offered in Carson City and Fallon as well as online, beginning Monday, June 8. Some classes meet for a few days, and others continue through the eight-week term, to Friday, July 31.

WNC Fallon is offering a set of early-start evening workshops designed to spruce up office skills and capabilities. Three one-credit workshops will meet Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, May 20-22, May 26-29, and June 1-4. Topics include Workplace Time Management and Goal Setting, Effective Telephone Techniques, and Work Decision Making/Conflict Resolution.

Non-credit community service classes will include tae kwon do, motorcycle rider skills, belly dancing, and adult CPR.

View classes and register at www.wnc.edu, and click on Web-REG. Information: 445-3000 in Carson City or 423-7565 in Fallon.
