A man claiming he needed protection from the Mexican Mafia, allegedly ignored requests by a Capitol Police officer to stop and tried to walk into the Governor's Mansion early this morning.

Guy Fett, 73, was booked into the Carson City Jail on suspicion of misdemeanor trespassing and obstructing a public officer. Bail was set at $644.

According to the report filed with the Carson City Sheriff's Department, a Capitol police officer stated Fett pulled up to the mansion in the 600 block of Mountain Street and parked in the driveway.

As Fett allegedly walked toward the front door, the police officer asked him why he was at the Governor's Mansion.

"Fett began saying that the Mexican Mafia was after him and he needs protection," the report states.

The officer reportedly ordered Fett to stop several times, before approaching him.

"(The officer) stated he attempted to stop Fett and Fett took a defensive stance towards him,' according to the report.

The officer then took Fett to the ground, handcuffed him and turned him over to a Carson City Sheriff's Deputy.

Fett's car was towed from the mansion property.

His bail was set at $632.
