Two teams of AutoCAD students recently participated in the CANstruction charity event, in which students design and build structures entirely of cans.

The CHS teams used more than 6,000 cans, which were then donated to the Northern Nevada Food Bank. The first team, consisting of Ashley Anderson, Nathan Bartosz, Taylor Phillips and Brian Skach, built an 8-foot tall, 10-foot wide bridge and two city towers.

The second team, consisting of Shruti Arun, Alexis Church, Trey Dufresne, Antonio Gudino and Aaron Scott, built an 8-foot wide hand holding a world. They were awarded for structural ingenuity.
