Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
- Martin Mendoza, 21, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 7:45 p.m. Monday in the 2200 block of Lompa Lane on suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, gross misdemeanor child endangerment, misdemeanor domestic battery and failure to comply. Mendoza allegedly drove his girlfriend to the Carson River and struck her with a bat because another man had called her cell phone. Her children were in the vehicle at the time of the alleged assault. Bail was set at $100,000.
- A 64-year-old retired man was arrested at 1:21 a.m. Tuesday in the 1100 block of East William Street on suspicion of misdemeanor driving on a suspended license, driving on suspended registration and drunken driving. Bail was set at $1,871.
- A 22-year-old flooring installer from Carson City was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Monday on East Musser Street on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence. Bail was set at $3,000.
- An 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 1:17 a.m. Tuesday at Winnie Lane and Lone Mountain Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving, reckless driving, not wearing a seat belt and driving without a license. Bail was set at $1,858.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:
- Misdemeanor arrest at Main and Sixth streets in Fernley at 7:46 a.m.
- Accident on Highway 50 East in Stagecoach at 11:55 a.m.
- Coroner call in the 10000 block of Highway 50 East in Mound House at 2:20 p.m.
Storey County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:
- Report of a brindle pit bull with a blue collar and rabies tag on Sam Clemens Avenue at 7:48 p.m.
