The Silver Dollar Casino on Fairview Drive in east Carson City has closed.
The casino was purchased in April by Northern Nevada Comstock Investments, an affiliate of WCW Corporation. The company also owns the Comstock Casino and Cactus Jack's Senator Club in Carson City, as well at casinos in Silver Springs, Fernley and Fallon. It is also trying to develop the COD Casino project in Minden.
Scott Tate, the general manager for the company's casino properties, could not be reached for comment Tuesday.
The building went through an expansion last year that added a third floor with a cafe and panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada.
