Alvin William Schooley, 81, died Thursday, July 16, 2009, at his residence in Munday, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17 at Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery, Fernley, Nevada.
Alvin was born June 8, 1928 to Martha (Miller) and William J. Schooley in Sunrise, Wyo. He served his country during WWII in the United States Navy. Alvin owned his own carpet business, BY'S Floor Covering, for over 35 years. After retiring from the carpet business, he was employed by Tru-Value as a shipping clerk. Alvin was a member of the Church of Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Schooley; his parents; one brother; and one sister.
Survivors include three sons, Bill Schooley, Scott Schooley and wife, Laurie, and Bobby Schooley and wife, Kathy; a daughter, Sindy Oustad and husband, Greg; one grandson; three granddaughters; and four great-granddaughters.
