Nevada Health Centers is challenging Carson City-area businesses to find out who can create the biggest team for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Oct. 4.

The winner of the biggest team challenge will win a "gaudy trophy, and bragging rights, as the largest team from Carson and its service area," NHC development coordinator Paula Guzman said in a release.

In addition, NHC will follow the Race for the Cure event with an announcement in the Nevada Appeal, announcing the winner and the list of the team members.

"So not only is this a chance to contribute to the cure for breast cancer, to get out and get some exercise, win a trophy and bragging rights, but also to promote your company and the volunteers that participated," Guzman said.

Carson City businesses that would like to enter the friendly competition should contact Blanca Ayala, bayala@nvhealthcenters.org or 887-1590 ext: 1148 or Dr. Carl Heard, cheard@nvhealthcenters.org.

Sign up before Aug. 25 to be part of the challenge.
