LAS VEGAS - A newspaper poll suggests Nevada wants a change in governor.

A survey of 400 registered voters for the Las Vegas Review-Journal finds that if the 2010 governor's election were held today, U.S. District Court Judge Brian Sandoval and Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman would be favored to face off in a general election.

Sandoval's a Republican. He's announced he'll step down from the federal bench Sept. 15.

Goodman's a Democrat. He's term-limited from running again for mayor and has said he's considering running for governor as an independent.

Republican Gov. Jim Gibbons and Democratic Clark County Commission Chairman Rory Reid - two candidates who've announced they're running - didn't fare as well in the survey conducted this week by a Washington, D.C.-based polling firm.
