RENO (AP) - The Nevada Department of Public Safety has five new top officials.

Chris Perry will be its deputy director, and Tony Almaraz will be highway patrol chief under appointments announced by agency Director Jerry Hafen.

Hafen says Pat Conmay was selected as capitol police chief, Jean Gagnon as chief of training and John Stewart as deputy chief of investigations.

Hafen says the five will bring considerable experience to their new positions.
