Make a difference, help Carson kids
The Carson Sertoma Club is conducting its annual membership campaign and is reaching out to any Carsonite, 18 years or older, who wants to make a difference and help the less fortunate in our community, especially children with hearing and speech difficulties, cancer and/or diabetes. The club also raises funds to help FISH, the senior center, OARC and the Carson Advocates for Cancer Victims.
During a friendly, social and fun luncheon each Wednesday at Q's restaurant, volunteers will help organize three annual fundraisers for the worthy charitable organizations noted above, participate in club business, and enjoy a program presentation by community leaders, elected officials or informative and entertaining speakers.
Those interested are invited to attend a meeting as our luncheon guest any Wednesday at noon at Q's. For more information, call Frank Taylor, club president at 885-7579.
