Turn in old electronics, fluorescent light bulbs and household batteries for recycling at the Green Living Festival at Lampe Park in Gardnerville Sept. 12.

Soroptomists International working with the nonprofit Computer Corps are collecting a variety of electronic waste items - computers (dead or alive), printers (new or old), monitors, cell phones, toner and ink cartridges, copiers, fax machines, stereos, software and manuals. (TVs and exposed electronics cannot be accepted).

Computer Corps refurbishes and returns usable equipment back to the community with its "Every Home A Classroom" program, and provides computer access and skills to underserved children while eliminating e-waste from landfills.

NV Energy will be collecting fluorescent lightbulbs and household batteries (no car batteries) for recycling.
