Art show fundraiser to benefit student artists with scholarships

The Carson Valley Art Association gives its heartfelt thanks to the businesses and individuals who donated raffle prizes, all those who bought the raffle tickets, and the Carson Valley Photo Club who entered 20 -30 photos to our show, making it the largest in recent years.

The photo club also has a current show hanging in the Copeland Cultural Arts Center, through Dec. 11.

Like recent years, the artists in this year's show were largely from Carson Valley, but we had entrants from Carson City, Markleeville, Wellington, Dayton, Reno, Silver Springs and Mammoth Lakes.

Diane Divelbess, our show judge, was impressed by the quality and breadth of the work exhibited. CVAA will be well able to present our scholarships to next year's graduating seniors from Douglas and Whittell High Schools. They can use all the help these days to continue their art education.

Again, many thanks to our raffle prize donors. Please visit these businesses and the galleries presenting our artist's work.
