Carson City Health Department's food-service inspections for the week from Nov. 24-30 (all scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations):
• Rand Avenue Convenience Store, 1800 E. Highway 50, No. 14, scored 95 points. There was no cold holding thermometer in the reach-in refrigerator containing milk and sandwiches. The hand-washing sink was found containing dishes. Cleaning and maintenance tools are not properly stored or are not properly maintained. Specifically the mob bucket was found with water in it.
• Dutch Brothers Coffee, 1449 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.
• Jenny Craig Weight Loss Center, 444 E. William St., scored 100 points.
• Madeleine's Cookies, 3060 Research Way, No. 5, scored 97 points. At least one employee of this establishment must be a certified food handler.
• Taqueria Uraupan, 4601 Goni Rd., No. A, scored 100 points.
• Economy Wash 'N Dry, 207 Hot Springs Road, scored 100 points.
• Daisy's Store, 3259 Highway 50 E, scored 100 points.
• Gold Dust West - Carson City, Express Snack Bar, 2171 Highway 50 E, scored 98 points. Found no measurable Quat sanitizer in the sanitizer basin of the 3-compartment sink or in the cloth buckets. There is dust under the mats holding clean pitchers located by the walk-in and the fan guards in the walk-in need dust removed.
• Gold Dust West - Carson City, Sports Bar, 2171 Highway 50 E, scored 99 points. All floor sinks need cleaning to remove debris and/or thick bio film build-up.
• Gold Dust West - Carson City, The Coffee Shop, 2171 Highway 50 E, scored 95 points. Found coleslaw above 46F. Found tuna salad on Unit 4 made two days ago at 56-59F. This was voluntarily discarded on site. Found sliced roast beef and turkey sandwich meat, individually portioned in plastic wrap holding at 70-72F on units No. 4 and No. 7. Containers were filled too full so that the top layers of meats were exposed to room temperature opposite the hot grills. The metal lid has been removed from unit no. 7.
