Special thank yous to everyone who assisted in Advocates to End Domestic Violence Food Drive, Toys for Tots, CASA Gift Card Night, adoption of foster children, Eagle Valley Children's Home, Salvation Army's food pantry and FISH. STAR PARTY AND OPEN HOUSE

You might want to take a break from the hectic pace of the season and enjoy some stargazing at the upcoming open house and star party at the Jack C. Davis Observatory. There will be steaming hot chocolate hosted by Red's Old 395 and cookies by the Western Nevada College Foundation. There will be a "stellar" presentation about the night sky and almost a full moon followed by viewing from a number of telescopes. At 8 p.m., there will be a raffle drawing for an autographed commemorative coin by Buzz Aldrin and the late Jack C. Davis.
