(AP) - Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons has appointed Alaina Burtenshaw to a four-year term on the state Public Utilities Commission.
Gibbons made the announcement in a statement released Thursday.
It says Burtenshaw is a lawyer, and currently serves as legal counsel for regulatory operations staff to the three-member regulatory panel.
She replaces Commis-
sioner Jo Anne Kelly.
Gibbons says Burtenshaw has worked for the commission since 1992, after working for a law firm in Las Vegas.
Burtenshaw lives in Pahrump.
