Obituary: Amelia Jane Garcia

Amelia Jane Garcia, 85, of Minden died Dec. 23, 2009, in Carson City. She was born March 8, 1924, in Defiance, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband James M. Tilman; son James W. Tilman; and sisters Ina, Donna Mae, Ruth, and Winnifred. She is survived by her husband John A. Garcia of Minden; daughter and son-in-law, Sharron and Larry Brewer of Gardnerville; stepchildren, John Tilman, Jim Tilman, Barbara Satterfield, and Carla Tucker; daughter-in-law Shari Tilman of Minden; nine grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. Visitation will be a5-8 p.m. Jan. 13 at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 14 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Carson City. Burial will follow in Lone Mountain Cemetery. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
