A 34-year-old Carson City man who allegedly ran from sheriff's deputies was shot with a Taser stun gun Thursday.

Deputies say Michael Craig Henson violated a restraining order when he went to a house around 12:30 p.m. on Rolling Hills Drive.

Deputy Matt Putzer said Henson ran when he told him he was under arrest. Henson allegedly resisted arrest after he got to Slide Mountain Drive, Putzer said.

Putzer said he shot Henson with a Taser that hit Henson with barbs in the chest and lower lip. Medical workers checked Henson and he was taken to jail. Charges were pending.
