Fleet Feet's winter race series continues with a 10K race 8-10 a.m. Feb. 21 at Centennial Park.
Entrants should park in the far back lot behind the upper baseball fields.

Players must be 4 as of Aug. 1. Cost is $65 for the first child, $55 for each additional child if paid by Feb. 21.

The Dayton Valley Dog Park Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the community room of the Greater Nevada Credit Union, 555 Highway 50 East in Dayton.
The committee will discuss fundraising and a possible location for the park on Old Dayton Valley Road.

Join Tahoe Rim Trail Association volunteer guides on an overnight trip to familiarize you with winter camping on Feb. 28.
This course will teach winter travel methods and considerations, winter hazards, and snow-camping techniques so that you can safely enjoy the wonders of the winter in the Tahoe region.
Introduction to Winter Camping will cover the preparation that is necessary before you venture out into the cold, white world. You will learn important techniques and other considerations once you are out traveling and camping in the snow. This one-night trip will be led by two very experienced TRTA guides (Jordan Summers and Wayne McClelland) and staff.
You will learn: How to pack; basic outdoor orientation skills; winter travel hazards " avalanches, hydration, frostbite, hypothermia; winter survival techniques; campsite selection and set-up; winter backpacking cooking hints and demonstrations; principles of Leave No Trace.
Participants must be at least 21, and the group is limited to 12 participants.
