Casino Fandango installed four new slot machines Friday that are the first of their kind in the world, said General Manager Court Cardinal.

The machines from Reno-based International Game Technology (IGT) have four screens and on each four different games can be played.

Cardinal said he was happy he could bring the machines "hot off the floor" to customers.

The casino, 3800 S. Carson St., has been hurt by the slow economy like other casinos, he said, but has been able to give more than $350,000 in jackpot winnings in the first week of February.

Cleopatra and Wolf Run are the two games featured on the machines. Bidding starts at 25 cents.

Matt Wetzell, casino slots manager, said the casino offered free champagne that day to customers to celebrate the new machines.

He said the machines are already popular with people.

"I have heard all good," he said.

The casino also will offer more surprise bonuses to customers throughout the month to celebrate, he said.

Donna Bellazaire of Carson City said she likes that the machines give her "four ways to win instead of one."

She said some people have difficulty trying to figure out how to play, but "when you win big, you win big."

The casino opened a new movie theater in 2007 and recently finished a $50 million expansion that included a Marriott hotel, an Italian restaurant and an additional 5,000 square feet of gaming.

Casino Fandango opened in July 2003 and is owned by Las Vegas-based Carson Gaming.c
