Legislative Hotline phone service

Up-to-the-minute information on the 2009 Nevada State Legislature is only a phone call away. The Nevada Sate Library and Archives provides a free Legislative Hotline phone service throughout the 2009 session. Hotline service is available 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. "Cancer 101" free symposium at Carson Tahoe Cancer Center

Dog obedience class at Fuji in April

Guy Yeaman will teach dog obedience, 6:30 p.m., Monday, April 13, Fuji Park, 701 Clear Creek Road. The class is a six-week session for $75. Dogs will learn to obey commands such as: heel, sit, stay, stand and recall. Each dog needs a training collar and a fabric or leather lead. Dogs must be at least 4-months-old and current on their shots. To register and for information, call 265-4530.

Douglas County

Square dance documentary to be filmed

All dancers are invited to participate in the filming of a documentary on square dancing and Larry Ward's career, from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, CVIC Hall, 1604 Esmeralda Avenue, Minden. Dancing exhibitions are from 7-10 p.m., rounds between alternating mainstream and plus square dancing. Donation $7. To RSVP and for information, call 392-0182.
