Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
- An 18-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 12:32 a.m. Thursday on suspicion of misdemeanor contempt of court, driving without insurance and speeding. Bail was set at $1,006.
- A 48-year-old unemployed Gardnerville man was arrested at 6:52 p.m. Wednesday in the 4700 block of Cochise Street on suspicion of misdemeanor failure to maintain single lane, second-offense drunken driving and having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle. Bail was set at $2,816.
- Roger Hipple, 45, unemployed from Minden, was arrested at 9:44 a.m. Tuesday at Spear and Anderson streets, on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing a peace officer. Bail was set at $3,939.
- Scotty Mavrick Brown, 40, a cook from Carson City, was arrested at 4:08 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of East Musser Street on a Reno Justice Court warrant for felony drawing or passing a check without sufficient funds. Bail was set at $1,500.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:
- Juvenile shoplifter was detained at Sak N Save at 7:32 a.m.
- A man threatened to shoot a dog on Clear Creek Avenue. An arrest was made.
- Report of items stolen from a vehicle and garage on Manhattan Drive at 8:07 a.m.
- Report at 9:28 a.m. of a disgruntled former employee threatening to bomb the Carson City company from which he was fired.
- Report of a window on a Sunrise Drive home broken at 5:09 p.m.
- A man reported at 9:36 p.m. that his daughter was "beating up" her boyfriend.
- Coroner call on North Walsh Street at 11:04 p.m.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:
- Coroner call in the 600 block of Warren Way in Fernley.
- Felony arrest at Fernley Wal-Mart at 3:57 p.m..
- Report of computer, guns and other items stolen on Reese River Road at 6:14 p.m. in Fernley.
Storey County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:
- Report at 2:26 p.m. a Chihuahua wearing a pink collar and sweater was found on Sutro Springs.
- Report of road rage on Interstate 80 at 6 p.m.
