A transient was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly molested an elderly patient at a Carson City convalescent center.

Troy William Enloe, 36, was booked into the Carson City Jail on suspicion of felony elderly abuse, attempted kidnapping, battery with intent to commit sexual assault, and obstructing or delaying an investigation.

According to the arrest report, Enloe entered the Carson Nursing and Rehabilitative Center, 2898 Highway 50 East. An employee allegedly saw Enloe enter the room of an 82-year-old "cognitively impaired" female patient, kneel down and start kissing her.

The employee told investigators she was unsure of who the man was, but the patient "acted as if she knew him," according to the report. She then left to locate the woman's nurse.

The victim's roommate told police she was in the hallway when she heard giggling coming from her room. When she looked inside, she allegedly saw Enloe kissing the woman on her face and lips.

At some point he took his pants off, according to the report.

When the man acted as if he were going to take the victim with him, the roommate said the victim couldn't go. Enloe allegedly responded, "No, she is coming with me."

When the employee and two nurses returned, they allegedly found Enloe removing the woman's clothing, "stating he was going to change her clothing and take her to dinner," according to the report.

The women escorted Enloe from the building. Before leaving, he allegedly told them "not to eat Oregon mushrooms and don't hang out with mean people," the report states.

Enloe was arrested across the street inside a restaurant sitting at a bar.

Doug McCoy, a representative of the center, said Thursday that all of the doors at the facility have alarms on them.

"He was approached immediately by a staff member, they got confirmation that he was not related, and that's when he was escorted out," he said.

Enloe's bail is set at $250,000.
