Carson City
The following persons were booked into the Carson City jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
- A man arrested in Washington State on charges of statutory sexual seduction and lewdness with a minor under age 14 was booked into the Carson City jail early New Year's Eve. Benedict Leval, 26, is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
- A 51-year-old Carson City man was jailed on domestic battery charges New Year's Eve after an arrest on Woodside Drive. He is accused of hitting and choking his girlfriend during an argument. Bail was set at $3,000.
- A 47-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the driveway of her Bath Street home at 3:30 a.m. after a deputy followed her from Musser Street. She was held in lieu of $1,000 bail on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. That was the only DUI reported in Carson City this New Year's holiday.
- A Carson City 25-year-old was jailed in lieu of $3,000 bail at 7:40 a.m. New Year's Day. He is charged with domestic battery on his wife.
- Ryan Wilson, 22, of Carson City was arrested on burglary and possession of stolen property charges New Year's Eve. He was identified as the man leaving an Airport Road apartment carrying a backpack full of DVDs and other items. The residents said they returned from a wedding to find their apartment broken into. Witnesses identified Wilson as the man leaving the apartment and deputies said they found some of the missing items in Wilson's apartment. Bail was set at $25,000 on each of the charges.
