New to You, a unique bridal shop that sells and rents used bridal gowns, will be opening Jan. 20 inside the Carson Mall. The store will be a companion shop to Tux Town, which recently moved to the mall.

The North Side Smoke Shop, at 1953 N. Carson Street, closed up shop Dec. 31 after 31 years in business. Also closing last month was In Good Taste on East Telegraph Street. Owner Jeanne Ramirez is selling the remodeled building once occupied by Heiss' Steak House.

Arby's Carson City is now doing outside catering. Contact owner Daryl Reedy at 883-1814 to get Arby's food delivered to your home or office.

The Hampton Inn in North Carson City has been honored for the third consecutive quarter by Hampton Hotels for their outstanding and exceptional ability to connect with their guests. The local Hampton Inn is in the top 15 percent in the chain for their customer service.

For the second year, Where to Retire Magazine is featuring Carson City as a top retiree destination. "Carson City has cultural opportunities such as theater, symphony and festivals as well as ample sunshine and outdoor recreation."

Joanie's Creekside Deli now open on Sunday in north Carson City, off College Parkway. They are open until 2 p.m. daily.
