The fifth annual benefit for the Carson High Jazz Band features professionals and high school students together jamming on cool jazz tunes, accompanied by the Mile High Jazz Band.
This is a great family event. With funding cuts in education, special programs like music always lose out. Help keep the Carson High School Band going by showing support for this live jazz performance, and check out the upcoming local stars.

SIXTH ANNUAL ATHLETICS FUNDRAISER
This event always includes a once-in-a-lifetime speaker, and again this year WNC is not disappointing anyone.
Come join NBA Deputy Commissioner Adam Silver and all the Wildcats supporters in raising funds to support Western Nevada College's men's baseball and women's softball teams.
Adam Silver consistently has been named one of the "100 Most Influential People in Sports" by the Sporting News and the Sports Business Journal.
Joining him will be David Kahn, owner of the Reno Bighorns, Northern Nevada's new NBA development league team.
The Reno Bighorns are affiliated with the Sacramento Kings and the New York Knicks. Of course, the three-course prime rib dinner, entertainment, live and silent auction and raffle are added bonuses for this fun night at the Peppermill Hotel-Casino.

For eight years, Ruth Gordon has matched young people with adult and older teen role models that help children within our community.
