Richard L. Frisbie Jr. of Pompano Beach, Fla., 54 years old, died suddenly Jan. 7, 2009 at Imperial Point Hospital in Pompano Beach after a brief illness. A native of Marshfield, Mass., graduated from Marshfield High School, class of l972.
Beloved son of Constance E. (Johnson) Frisbie and the late Richard L. Frisbie Sr. of Marshfield; loving and devoted father of Sarah Orput of Carson City and Erik Frisbie of Pompano Beach, Fla.; grandfather of Bayleigh Rose, Chase Joseph and Nathan Matthew Orput; brother of Neal F. Frisbie and Chester E. (Chuck) Frisbie both of Marshfield; uncle of Kristen Frisbie, Alex Frisbie. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Rick also leaves a dear friend, Maritzu Rodrigues of Boca Raton, Fla.
He was a man of God and a dedicated member of Calvary Chapel. He was a risk taker and an adrenaline junkie. He enjoyed both water and snow skiing, scuba diving, hang-gliding and photography. Rick had a gift for working with wood and made beautiful boxes, furniture and cabinets.
A memorial visitation and service will be 6-8 p.m., Sunday at the MacDonald Funeral Home, l755 Ocean St., Route l39, Marshfield. A private graveside service will be held in Winslow Cemetery, Marshfield at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Church, Pompano Beach, FL.
