RENO " Washoe County District Attorney Dick Gammick is expected to be released from a Reno hospital after receiving a heart pacemaker.

Gammick, 62, was taken to Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center on Tuesday night after collapsing while at a Reno Rodeo Association board meeting.

Gammick's wife, Norma, tells the Reno Gazette-Journal that doctors implanted the pacemaker on Wednesday and he is doing fine.

The district attorney, now in his fourth term, underwent heart bypass surgery in 2000 after an angiogram during a physical examination. He had not suffered a heart attack or chest pains before that surgery.
