Carson City investigators are seeking a man wanted in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a woman early Sunday morning in Carson City.
According to dispatch logs, the victim initially called police at 3:25 a.m. to report she heard noises in her backyard and feared it was someone who'd been harassing her.
Officers arrived, checked the area and left the scene at 4:16 a.m.
Six hours later the woman called back and said that the man had assaulted her at her home and fled.
He is described as 35 years old, 6-foot-5, 250 pounds, with blonde hair and brown eyes. He has an eagle tattooed on his right shoulder.
He is believed to be driving a blue, newer model hard-top Mazda Miata with a partial license plate of 1HOT issued either from Nevada or Arizona.
