Majic Dorsey scored 24 points to lead six players in double figures and added seven assists Saturday as the Reno Bighorns stopped a two-game slide with a 106-91 victory over the Bakersfield Jam.
Patrick Ewing Jr. scored 21 points and Antonio Meeking added 17 and 13 rebounds for the Bighorns, who shot 50 percent (40-of-80) from the field and did not trail in the second half.
Damone Brown scored eight of his 16 points in the second quarter, when Reno outscored Bakersfield, 32-22, to turn a four-point deficit into a 50-44 halftime lead. Russell Robinson scored seven of his 14 points in the third quarter as the Bighorns widened the advantage to 82-68 entering the final period.
David Noel added 10 points for the Bighorns, who held a 42-36 advantage in rebounds as they evened the season series at 2-2. Reno improved to just 3-12 at home.
Trey Johnson had 25 points and eight assists, Jeff Trepagnier scored 17 points and Terrance Thomas added 15 and 12 boards for the Jam, who shot just 32 percent (32-of-76) and dropped to 8-3 at home.
Bakersfield has dropped two in a row since topping the D-League Rankings earlier in the week.
Reno (9-15) does not play until Friday, when it hosts Utah. Bakersfield (15-9) is idle for a week, when it hosts Erie.
