A threat of a bomb in the Wells Fargo bank at Musser and Stewarts streets proved to be a hoax, said a Carson City Sheriff's Official.
Capt. Ken Sandage said a bank employee received a phone call at about 11:21 a.m.
from a male caller who stated, "There's a bomb in the bank."
The caller then hung up, said Sandage.
Bank employees evacuated the building and surrounding streets were blocked off as law enforcmenet conducted a search of the building and grounds.
Sandage said nothing was found and the area was cleared by 12:30 p.m.
The FBI is participating in the investigation.
