Yerington beats Dayton at buzzer

Burke Bristol's half-court shot as the buzzer expired lifted Yerington to a 41-40 win against Dayton Wednesday night.

Bristol, who lead Yerington with 15 points, made the game winner after the Dust Devils missed a free throw with 5.6 seconds left.

Tyler Crowell chipped in 13 for Yerington who improves to 13-8 overall and 9-6 in Northern 3A play.

Dayton, who was led by Tannar Wood with 13 points and Kage Walker with 15 points, jumped out to an 11-8 lead at the end of the first quarter. Yerington took advantage in the second quarter take a 19-16 lead at the break.

The Dust Devils retook the lead at the end of the third with a 27-26 lead. Yerington fought back to sweep the season series. The Lions also won the first matchup at Dayton, 61-55.
