Leslie Ruth Jones

Leslie Ruth Jones, age 96, of Mound House, passed away on Jan. 28, 2009.

Ruth was born in Covelo, California to Leslie and Ruby Dunlap. Ruth lived throughout Northern California until 1987 when she and her husband, Glenn, moved to Nevada.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Glenn; brothers Milton, Donald, and Walter; sister Mildred; life long best friend and sister-in-law Maggie McCampbell and son-in-law, Wayne Shrope.

Ruth is survived by her daughter Ruby Shrope; son Melvin L. Jones and his wife Vernell; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren, six great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be 1 p.m. Tuesday with services following at 2 p.m. at FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City.

Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to St. Mary's Hospice in Reno. Arrangements are under the direction of FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
