A man whose wife was found dead in their home in Fairmount Township, Pa., last week was arrested at a Carson City motel Monday afternoon.

Brian Keith Amrowski, 31, was in the company of William Bilby, 23, also of Pennsylvania, when federal marshals and members of the Carson City Sheriff's Office arrested Amrowski as he checked out of the Motel 6 on Highway 395 in South Carson City.

Amrowski was arrested on a Pennsylvania warrant charging him with theft and receiving stolen property in connection with a vehicle his wife rented before her death.

According to the Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Times Leader newspaper, the body of Rebecca Lynne Amrowski, 26, was found inside her home June 22.

Luzerne County Coroner John Corcoran told the Times-Leader that after an autopsy on Tuesday he didn't believe Amrowski's death was suspicious. He didn't release the cause and manner of Amrowski's death, saying he didn't want to hamper the investigation, the newspaper reported.

Carson City Sheriff's Capt. Ken Sandage said that Amrowski no longer had the rental car, and that he and Bilby had been gold mining somewhere in the region and they'd hitchhiked into Carson City.
