Ruby Taylor, 78, was born in WaKeeney, Kan., June 13, 1931. She was a Nevada resident for more than 40 years, the last 15 spent in Carson City. She died at home on June 22, 2009. Ruby raised her children for a time in San Diego, Calif., before moving to Nevada where she worked for the state for more than 20 years. A dedicated mother, Ruby was considered "one classy lady" by her close family members and friends because of her polished demeanor and demonstrative wit. She loved to cook, garden, and go dancing. In her later years, Ruby cared passionately for her dogs and other animals.
Ruby is preceded in death by both her children,m James, W. Taylor and Lori A. Stenz. She is survived by three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and three siblings. A memorial for Ruby will be held in August. Capital City Cremation is in charge of cremation and arrangements.
