New law gives tow trucks room on roads
RENO (AP) - A new Nevada law requires drivers to move over for tow trucks.
The measure approved by the 2009 Legislature adds tow trucks to a law that requires motorists to move into an outside lane from where emergency vehicles are stopped, provided it is safe to do so.
The law took effect Wednesday, and AAA says Nevada is the 30th state with a move over law that also covers tow trucks.
Another new law allows physically challenged motorists to remain in their disabled vehicles while being towed.
