What's closed on Independence Day?

The following is a list of offices that will be open and closed Friday and Saturday for the July 4

holiday:

• State, federal and city offices and U.S. post offices will be closed.

• The front counter of the Carson City Sheriff's Department and the Douglas County Sheriff's Office will be closed. Officers will patrol as usual.

• The Carson City, Douglas County and Lyon County libraries will be closed.

• Senior Centers in Carson City, Storey County, Dayton, Silver Springs and Douglas County will be closed.

• Jump Around Carson will not be operating.

• RTC RIDE will be observing its Sunday schedule. Schedules can be found by visiting www.rtcwashoe.com or call 348-7533.

• The Nevada State Museum will be open on Friday and Saturday.

• The Nevada State Railroad Museum will be open with a steam up on Saturday and Sunday.

• The Children's Museum of Northern Nevada will be open Friday and Saturday.

• The Nevada Appeal office will be closed Friday.

The Subscriber Services Department will be open for callers on Friday and Saturday until 11 a.m. and until noon Sunday.

The Classified Call Center will be open for customer calls until 1 p.m. Friday.
