LAS VEGAS (AP) - The U.S. Department of Transportation has announced the approval of $5.3 million in stimulus money for Nevada transit improvements.
Information submitted by the Nevada Department of Transportation shows that more than $1.8 million will go toward four projects in Clark County.
Among the projects being funded are $925,000 for a fueling facility at the Laughlin Transit Facility, $200,000 for 12 bus shelters in Boulder City and $55,000 for a paratransit vehicle for the Blind Center of Nevada.
Nevada Department of Transportation spokesman Scott Magruder says the funds will be distributed to local transit authorities, municipalities and organizations.
