2 injured in crash at Carson airport

Authorities say a father and son were injured when a home-built experimental plane crashed Saturday morning at the Carson City Airport.

Federal Aviation Adminis-tration spokesman Ian Gregor says the plane flipped over and came to a rest upside down.

He says there was no fire but the two people were seriously injured.

Fire officials say the two were taken to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.

Their names and hometown were not immediately released.

Officials say the single-engine, two-seat plane crashed on the runway at about

10:30 a.m.

The crash is under investigation by federal authorities.
