Crews worked through Friday night to contain the Pine Nuts fire - burning near Mineral Peak, 9 miles east of Johnson Lane in Douglas County, and 13 miles south of Dayton in the Pine Nut Mountains.

The fire, which burned 88 acres, was expected to be fully contained by today.

The Boulder fire - burning five miles south of Wellington-NV State Route 208, and three miles southwest of NV State Route 338 on the east side of the Wellington Hills in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest - was estimated at 200 acres and 60 percent contained as of Saturday evening. Crews expected full containment by 6 p.m. Monday.

The rough terrain made it difficult for the estimated 200 crew members working on the fire.
