William Lawson, 86, a Carson City resident, died May 31, 2009 at Carson Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born April 4, 1923 to George and Reta (Cooey) Lawson on in Buffalo, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a prisoner of war. Among his survivors are wife Dona Lawson of Carson City and daughter Betsy Lawson of San Diego, Calif. A viewing will be 3-7 p.m., today at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith. Interment with full military honors will be Friday at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Ore. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
