James Edward Buckler, 52, of Carson City passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009, at his home in Carson City.
Jim was born April 4, 1957 in Las Vegas to James Gibson Buckler and Margaret Anna Sorensen Buckler. Jim was the eldest of seven children. He attended schools in Las Vegas and graduated from Western High School in 1975. After living in Las Vegas and Tucson for the first journey of his life, he came to Carson City 1987 to be with family and friends. Jim worked in auto, home and commercial glass. He was also known as, "Jimmy", "Buck", "Jimbo", and "Scooby" by close family and friends. Jim was an avid hunter, fisherman and Washington Redskins fan.
He was preceded in death by his father James Buckler, stepfather David Brode, and brother Kenneth Buckler.
Jim will be dearly missed and is survived by his mother Margaret Brode; stepmother Emma Buckler; siblings Justina (Wayne) Mayberry, Leanne (David) Lowe, Dawn Lake, John (Heather) Buckler, Theresa (Ronald) Lupo; sister-in-law Kimberly Buckler-Christensen; cousin Rennie Brode; and many friends, cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
A celebration of life will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday at 1125 Kennedy Drive, Carson City, NV 89706. Arrangements are in the care of Autumn Funerals and Cremations.
