Carson City Health Department's food-service inspections for the week of June 1 (all scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations):

• Capital City Dos Amigos, 1621 E. Highway 50 No. G, meat department, scored 94 points. Meats and seafoods in the frozen food display case are at 25-30F. Found out of date dairy products (milk dated 5/11/09) in the walk-in. Found a large bag of sugar laying on the floor in the dry storage room blocking the doorway. Facilities for manual dish washing are not properly designed, constructed, maintained, installed, located or operated. Cloths used on food-contact surfaces are not clean, do not contain sanitizer residual, or are not used properly. At least on employee of this establishment must be a certified food handler.

• Capital City Dos Amigos, 1621 E. Highway 50 No. G, restaurant, scored 96 points. Some spice containers (bay leaves, oregano) containers have no lids. Some prepared meats and sauces in the walk-in are not covered. Found bucket of chilis sitting on the prep board. At least one employee of this establishment must be a certified food handler.

• Carson Lanes, 4600 Snyder Lane, restaurant, scored 99 points. There is a thick deposit of grease inside the French fryer. There is dust accumulating on the ceiling and around the fan vent (some "stringers" are an inch long).

• Carson Lanes, 4600 Snyder Lane, bar/lounge. Bar No. 1, scored 96 points. There are no drain hoses for the speed gun holders. Two drain hoses are laying in the bottom of the floor sinks. There is some moisture on the bottom shelf inside the beer keg cooler. The upper half of the ice machine is very dirty with thick mineral deposits and black bio-film. The floor sinks are dirty.

• Carson Lanes, 4600 Snyder Lane, bar/lounge, Service Bar, scored 100 points.

• Courtyard by Marriott, 3870 S. Carson St., restaurant, scored 100 points.

• Courtyard by Marriott, 3870 S. Carson St., bar/lounge, scored 100 points.

• Galaxy Fandango 10, 4000 S. Curry St., restaurant, scored 97 points. Ice scoop is not stored properly. At least one employee of this establishment must be a certified food handler.

• Casino Fandango, 3800 S. Carson St., bakery, scored 100 points.

• Casino Fandango, 3800 S. Carson St., bar/lounge, Bird Bar, scored 100 points.

• Casino Fandango, 3800 S. Carson St., bar/lounge, Video Bar, scored 100 points.

• Short Stop Market, 1321 N. Carson St., convenience store, scored 100 points.

• Short Stop Market, 1321 N. Carson St., restaurant, Finx Hot Dogs, scored 100 points.

• Katie's Bar, 3481 E. Highway 50, bar/lounge, scored 95 points. Facilities for manual dish washing are not properly designed, constructed, maintained, installed, located, or operated. Speed gun holder and nozzle are dirty. A supply of paper towels is not present at the hand sink.

• Rigoberto's Taco Shop, 3359 E. Highway 50, restaurant, scored 100 points.

• Bamboo Garden, 3735 S. Carson Street, restaurant, scored 95 points. Food removed from original container is not stored in approved container. Cookies, food in the walk-in refrigerator and elsewhere were found without covers. Ice scoop is not stored properly. The handle was in the ice. Bowls with no handles were found in the flour, salt and other bulk powders. A supply of paper towels was not present at the kitchen hand sink.

• Bamboo Garden, 3735 S. Carson St., restaurant, Sushi Bar, scored 97 points. A cold holding thermometer was missing in the sushi preparation cold holding unit. Food contact surfaces of equipment (microwave, rice container, etc.) or utensils were not cleaned after last use.

• Toads, 306 E. William St., bar/lounge, scored 95 points. Unauthorized dog was in establishment. Non-food contact surfaces of hand sink and utility sink especially splash shield are not properly maintained.
