Elaine A. Miskulin, 83, passed away in Carson City, June 8, 2009. Elaine was born April 18, 1926 in Ely to Mario and Mary Venturino. Elaine has resided in Carson City for 51 years, moving here from Ely. She attended White Pine County High School in Ely. She then attended nursing school at Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah graduating in 1948 as a registered nurse. She married her husband Charles "Frank" Miskulin July 31, 1949 in Ely. She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, a member of the Mother's Club with St. Teresa School and the American Arthritis Association. Elaine enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing.
Elaine was preceded in death by her grandparents, Natale and Agnes Lusetti, her parents, and uncles, aunts and cousins.
She is survived by her loving husband Charles "Frank" Miskulin; sons and daughters-in-law Mark and Gloria and Bruce and Debbi; five grandchildren; brother Don Venturino and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m., Friday at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Carson City. Donations may be made in Elaine's honor to St. Teresa Church or the Arthritis Foundation.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of final arrangements.
